You’ll explore the early years and childcare sector, develop confidence with key terminology and expectations, and build the study skills needed for progression to a Level 2 childcare course.

You will learn face-to-face with support from your tutor through demonstrations, practical activities, discussions and individual or group tasks. Activities may include tutor input, case studies, reflective tasks and links to real early years practice. The course is designed to build confidence at a steady pace, with support to practise between sessions where appropriate.

You will not gain a formal qualification, but you can receive a certificate of attendance from your tutor.
