This exciting new course provides the opportunity for those looking to expand their learning or career into the Health & Well-being arena, Tutor: Delphi Ellis, Thursday 1-2.30pm
If you are interested in gaining a qualification, exploring the key characteristics and influencing factors of wellbeing, how to build personal resilience, and how to recognise when others may be struggling.
Prosp Is This Right For Me
The concept, characteristics, and influencing factors of wellbeing and mental health. Strategies to support mental health in oneself and others. Approaches to building and maintaining resilience, Recognising early signs of poor wellbeing or mental health in oneself or others. Applying practical techniques to improve wellbeing. Communicating with empathy and respect, Demonstrating responsibility for one’s own mental health. Supporting a positive, inclusive environment. Acting as a respectful and active contributor to the workplace or community.

On successful completion, learners receive a Level 2 City & Guilds Award – a recognised, regulated qualification that demonstrates their commitment to mental health awareness and wellbeing.

Key messages are included in the handout(s), where provided, but you may choose to bring a notepad and pen with you to each class, if you like to make notes. Learners may also be signposted to reading materials and resources relevant to the course which may be available on the web. Where relevant, you would need a device with internet access; this could be a PC, Mac, Laptop, smart/iPhone, tablet/iPad. You may also choose to bring a soft drink with you in a safe container. No smoking or vaping is allowed on any of our premises.
