Prepare for an exciting career in hospitality and tourism with hands-on learning. It is suitable if you are ready to work towards a Level 1 course and want to develop knowledge, confidence and practical skills in customer service, hospitality and tourism.

You’ll learn about the hospitality and tourism industries, customer service, workplace expectations, teamwork, communication and practical skills that can support progression into further study or entry-level roles.

You will learn face-to-face with support from your tutor through demonstrations, practical activities, discussions and individual or group tasks. Activities may include role play, case studies, practical tasks and opportunities to reflect on real workplace situations. As this is a qualification course, you may also complete assessments, portfolio work or assignments as part of your learning.

Open Will I gain a qualification?

You will work towards the recognised qualification: Pearson BTEC Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism. Your tutor will explain the assessment requirements and support you to build the evidence needed during the course.
