It’s never too late to learn—this friendly course helps you get comfortable with technology at your own pace. It is ideal if you would like a friendly, supportive place to build confidence with computers, tablets, smartphones and online services at your own pace.
Prosp Is This Right For Me
You’ll learn the basics of using digital devices in a calm and supportive environment. This may include using a keyboard and mouse or touchscreen, searching the internet, sending emails, managing files, using apps and understanding common digital terms.
Prosp What Will I Learn
You will learn face-to-face with support from your tutor through demonstrations, practical activities, discussions and individual or group tasks. You will use computers and digital tools during class, with guidance to help you practise skills and apply them to realistic tasks. The course is designed to build confidence at a steady pace, with support to practise between sessions where appropriate.
Prosp How Will I Learn
You will not gain a formal qualification, but you can receive a certificate of attendance from your tutor.
Prosp Qualification
You may progress to another digital skills course, a qualification route, employability course, or use your new confidence to support work, study and everyday life.
Prosp Next Steps
Please bring a notebook and pen. If you have your own digital device, such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop, your tutor may ask you to bring it where it supports the learning; computers will be available in class where required.
