The course will focus on practical, work-related uses of AI rather than technical programming or development. It is suitable if you want to understand how AI tools can support everyday workplace tasks in a safe, practical and responsible way.

You’ll learn practical ways to use AI tools for workplace tasks such as drafting, summarising, planning, idea generation and checking your work. You will also consider responsible use, accuracy, privacy and when human judgement is still essential.

You will learn face-to-face with support from your tutor through demonstrations, practical activities, discussions and individual or group tasks. You will use computers and digital tools during class, with guidance to help you practise skills and apply them to realistic tasks. The course is designed to build confidence at a steady pace, with support to practise between sessions where appropriate.

You will not gain a formal qualification, but you can receive a certificate of attendance from your tutor.
