You’ll learn how to plan, design and create a simple website. Topics may include layout, navigation, images, accessibility, testing, evaluating your work and presenting a website that meets a clear purpose.

You will learn face-to-face with support from your tutor through demonstrations, practical activities, discussions and individual or group tasks. You will use computers and digital tools during class, with guidance to help you practise skills and apply them to realistic tasks. As this is a qualification course, you may also complete assessments, portfolio work or assignments as part of your learning.

You will work towards the recognised qualification: Gateway Level 1 Award in Website Design. Your tutor will explain the assessment requirements and support you to build the evidence needed during the course.
