This friendly, beginner-level course is ideal for adults aged 50 and over who feel unsure about using technology and want to start learning in a relaxed, supportive environment. If you've never used a computer or just want to get more comfortable with it, this course is for you.

You’ll begin with the basics—how to safely and responsibly use the internet, understand simple keyboard functions, and refine online searches. You'll also start exploring the World Wide Web, learning how to research topics and find helpful information online.

Through hands-on practice using a laptop, guided by a patient tutor. You'll learn through simple demonstrations, group discussion, and practical tasks at your own pace. You'll also get printed handouts to take home and practise between sessions—no prior experience needed.

Open Will I gain a qualification?

You will not gain a formal qualification, but you can receive a certificate of attendance from your tutor.
