Course Overview

Course Overview
Discover how volunteering can build your confidence, develop new skills and open doors to future opportunities., Mondays 12.30-2.30pm
The course suits those wishing to gain some knowledge about how to become a volunteer, with a view to possibly gaining paid work. The course will cover all you need to know to offer your time to a charity or business of your choice. You will need to commit to regular and punctual attendance each week. The weekly commitment is 2 hours class attendance and approximately up to 3 hours research or home learning. With tutorials, this makes a total of 57 hours guided learning, as set out by City & Guilds. As part of the first session, we ask learners to complete a short English and basic numeracy assessment, as you will be building a portfolio over the weeks and will need good understanding to complete some of the written work. You will be supported throughout the course by your tutor and other learners.
