Course Overview
Discover the vibrant sectors of hospitality and tourism, learning customer service, planning and industry-specific skills for a successful start in these dynamic fields.
The course covers customer service and an introduction to tourism operations. Additionally, it emphasizes personal progression and includes modules on exploring local visitor attractions. Through a blend of practical and theoretical learning, students will develop key competencies such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. This qualification serves as a stepping stone for further education and training, preparing learners for advanced studies or immediate employment opportunities in the hospitality and tourism sectors. As part of the first session, we ask learners to complete a short English and basic numeracy assessment, as you will be building a portfolio over the weeks and will need good understanding to complete the written work. You will be supported throughout the course by your tutor and other learners.
Prosp Is This Right For Me
Unit A2: Developing a Personal Progression Plan - This unit will help you find out what opportunities are available to you and how to get to the next stage. You will carry out a self-audit, identifying what your strengths are and what you need to develop to be able to meet your progression goals. Unit HT7: Exploring Local Visitor Attractions - In this unit, you will research local visitor attractions and what makes people visit them. You will think about the different types of attractions and who they are aimed at. You will then use information you’ve collected to identify which local attraction would be most appropriate for a specific visitor type.
