Course Overview
Tuesdays, 6.45-8.15pm. For those who have completed one term of Japanese - Next Steps and/or those with some knowledge who wish to develop further.

Open Is this course right for me?

This ten-week course is suitable for beginners who have already learned how to read Hiragana and Basic Japanese phrases – greetings, introductions, “What is this?”, “I like…”, and how to use adjectives.

Open What will I learn?

You will learn – Words to describe your hobbies.. How to describe things using (i-adjectives and na-adjectives). Wh-words (who, where, when, which, and how). How to describe frequency. How to describe days of the week, date, and time. How to ask about others’ schedules and arrange meetings. How to make past tense with verbs. Basic kanji related to each topic.

Open How will I learn?

You will learn during weekly lessons, independent learning activities, and via short videos. Writing and reading tasks will be emailed or uploaded to Google Classroom after the lessons as complementary work for you to do at home.

You won’t gain a qualification from this course, but you can request a certificate of attendance from your tutor.
