Lay a solid IT foundation with our four-week beginner’s guide, exploring computer basics, internet navigation and essential software. Monday, 12.30-2.30pm

This short course is for those learners who have little or no knowledge of digital skills and wish to learn how to get started using a computer.

Open What will I learn?

You will learn about internet safety, being safe and responsible online. Basic keyboard functions and how to refine searches online. You will also begin to navigate the world wide web and how to research subjects and find information.

Open How will I learn?

You will learn by using a laptop to work on practical tasks with support from the tutor; by means of discussions and demonstrations. You will receive handouts to use and practise between sessions.

Open Will I gain a qualification?

You will not gain a formal qualification, but you can receive a certificate of attendance from your tutor.
