Course Overview
A six week exploration of what it means to make friends, build communities and tackle loneliness, Tuesdays 10-11.30am
This six-week course has been designed to help explore what it means to make friends, build communities and tackle loneliness. It will consider some key ingredients for maintaining meaningful friendships as well as identify skills and challenges (like building rapport) for making new friends. Once you have enrolled, your tutor will contact you by email to understand what you hope to get from the course and to see if you have any requirements which would assist your learning. If you would like to speak to a tutor before enrolling please contact us. This course is designed to help reduce feelings of loneliness and is suitable for anyone who is focused on enhancing and maintaining their well-being. People who are currently navigating a mental health crisis may find this learning environment challenging and are encouraged to seek alternative appropriate support from local services. If you have a trauma-related diagnosis, you may wish to discuss this with the course tutor before as the course will briefly discuss the impact of historical, unhealthy relationships. We ask all attendees to take responsibility for their own learning and only take part in activities and learning which feels right for them.
