Prosp Next Steps
You are advised to bring your own machine, if you have one (serviced recently!), though there are some machines are available at the centre. If you need to use one of our machines, please let us know beforehand. Please bring the usual sewing kit: scissors for fabric and paper, tape measure, headed pins, sewing needles, tailors chalk, threads appropriate for your fabric, a quick unpicker. You should also bring a square of natural cloth such as muslin or cotton sheeting to use a pressing cloth. For the sessions, please bring about ¾ metre of plain cotton or cotton mix to practise on (you may have scraps at home). After discussion at the first session, you can then buy a commercial pattern of your choice. The fabric and notions required by each of you will be discussed individually.
