Course Overview
For those who have completed 2 to 3 terms of Spanish Next Steps, Tuesdays 7-8.30pm
You should have studied Spanish for 40 – 60 hours in the recent past but you may have maintained your level of Spanish by spending time in the country and/or with Spanish friends.
Prosp Is This Right For Me
Topics (real situation content): Describing a city (traveling), Doing shopping (daily life), At the cinema (daily life), At the airport (travelling), Networking (work). Grammar: Revising of preterit and imperfect tenses. Learning the past perfect. Using por/para. Comparisons in Spanish. Past tenses practice.
Prosp What Will I Learn
The tutor will organise activities to practise speaking, writing, reading and listening to Spanish. You will sometimes work in pairs or in small groups with your fellow students or watch videos and listen to audio recordings. You may also learn via PowerPoint and the internet, independent learning activities to complete at home, and short videos. Writing and reading tasks will be sent or uploaded in Google classroom. You will also be able to attempt Quizlet link activities, activities online, etc. The emphasis will be on speaking and understanding so expect the main language of the classroom to be Spanish!

You may ask your tutor for a certificate of attendance.
Prosp Qualification
You can continue your studies next term on the ‘Year One’ course, and then progress to ‘Improvers – Year Two’ in the next academic year.
Prosp Next Steps
Please bring a notepad and pen. You can bring a laptop, tablet or use your phone for some online games, etc. You may wish to bring something to drink with you however, there are vending machines available at the venue.
