Are you thinking about working in a school? Would you like to learn more about working in a school and the knowledge, skills and attributes required? Then this course is for you! The course will also offer an insight into possible next steps and progression onto the Support Work in Schools Level 2 Award.

Open What will I learn?

This course will give you an opportunity to learn some basic information about the different roles in a school, types of schools in Milton Keynes, safeguarding and equality and diversity. You will also have an opportunity to learn more about applying for a job in a school and the knowledge, skills and attributes required.

There will be a presentation by the tutor, group discussion and the opportunity to ask questions.

You will not gain a formal qualification by completing this course.

After you have completed the introduction, you may like to consider applying for the Support Work in Schools Level 2 Award which is offered twice a year, in September and March. If you would like to proceed onto the qualification course, you will be required to attend an initial assessment session.
