Course Overview

Make charming hand sewn soft toys, Saturday 12.30-3pm

Open Is this course right for me?

This is a relaxing hand sewing course where the aim is to cut, construct and decorate a set of 3 soft animal characters to give as gifts or have as charming keepsakes.

Open What will I learn?

You will learn how to transfer a pattern, correctly cut fabric, pin, stitch and stuff your 3D character, as well as how to add facial features. Then you will further personalise your creation with a choice of feature fabrics for the ears and tails and decorate using a range of hand embroidery stitches.

Open How will I learn?

In a group setting, you will be shown examples, given patterns and your tutor will demonstrate the basics and be on hand for one-to-one support.

Open Will I gain a qualification?

You will not gain a formal qualification but you may receive a Certificate of Attendance from your tutor.

Open Next steps

You may wish to work on larger, more complicated patterns independently or to continue to develop your creative skills on another of the courses on offer.
