Needle felting is a calm and relaxing craft in which you take wool fibres and work with a specialised needle until they bond together to create a solid shape.

You will learn about the tools for the craft, including how fibres vary in their properties and uses. Create a 3 dimensional effect image or shape. How to add detail or a pattern to your 3D felt model.

In a small group you will be working on a choice of animal, plant or bird design with step by step demonstrations and guidance from your tutor.

Open Will I gain a qualification?

You will not gain a formal qualification but you can request a Certificate of Attendance from your tutor.

The natural progression would be to take on larger and more complex projects. Alternatively, explore other fibre crafts such as wet felting.
