Course Overview
Guided project based course, for those who have completed 1 or more terms at Intermediate level, Tuesdays 9.30am-12pm
This course is for those learners at Intermediate level wishing to enhance their skills and develop their own projects. This course will allow you to develop your individual potential, both technically and creatively using various techniques of watercolour painting, mixed media and drawing approaches while exploring exciting new themes and approaches.
Prosp Is This Right For Me
Explore other artist’s approaches both historic and contemporary through practical activities that can be utilised in future watercolour projects. Develop mixed media approaches incorporating a variety of mediums. Participate in themed topics and projects often interlinking with follow on weeks. One project will be interlinked with a current MK Gallery exhibition. Develop individual personalised projects.
Prosp What Will I Learn
Primarily through practical painting and drawing activities. Regular instruction and demonstrations of approaches and one to one guidance. Regular group presentations, group reviews and exercises.

You will not gain a formal qualification; however, you may receive a Certificate of Achievement from your tutor.

Prosp Next Steps
Watercolour paints, paint palette, 3 or 4 water containers, watercolour brushes, A4/3 300gm watercolour paper, masking tape, sponges, kitchen roll, a pencil, drawing paper/putty rubber, pencil sharpener, black fine liners or dipping pens and ink, white candle wax, cocktail sticks, a drawing board is very useful. First session: Bring a drawing pad, rubber, pencil sharpener and pencil, one watercolour pad, watercolour paints and brushes, water containers, palette, masking tape. The theme for the first session will be provided by the tutor.
