Learn effective sleep strategies and how to understand your dreams
*Important: This course is for people with mild to moderate mental health considerations including stress, anxiety and depression. If you have been given a trauma-related diagnosis (such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), suffer from asthma or cardiovascular disease, or have a different mental health diagnosis, please speak to your doctor before joining this course or speak to the tutor before registering. In this short course, you will explore the benefits of sleep and evidenced-based theories behind what helps (and what doesn’t). You will learn a tried-and-tested technique which has been proven to help people sleep better, along with top tips to take away. You will also explore theories behind dreams and nightmares, with opportunities to interpret them. Prosp What Will I Learn
The course will be taught online, offering a mixture of theory and practical exercises to try at home. These will look at sleep, the subject of mindfulness along with opportunities to practice. There is the option for written activities (e.g. through the chat facility on Zoom), and access to other types of media, e.g. videos to watch or books to read. Prosp How Will I Learn

As part of this course explores the benefits of mindfulness, you may wish to join the eight-week ‘Relaxation through Mindfulness’ course. Prosp Next Steps
You will need a device with internet access, this could be a PC, Mac, Laptop, smart/iPhone, tablet/iPad. You may wish to download the Zoom app prior to starting the course. You will be given access to our Moodle platform where you may access the courses resources such as handouts, images, recordings of videos and/or audio etc. We will send you joining instructions after you enrol.
