Develop your own art journal while helping your wellbeing
If you like art and craft and would like to try art journaling but don’t know where to start. This course will guide you towards creating your very own art journal, documenting your thoughts, feelings, ideas and observations in visual form. Prosp Is This Right For Me
You will learn how keeping an art journal can help with your creative wellbeing. You will learn mixed media and different art techniques to get you started. Prosp What Will I Learn
There will be online discussion and demonstrations of techniques which you will then try yourself to get your art journal started. Prosp How Will I Learn
You will not gain a formal qualification but you may request a Certificate of Attendance from your tutor, to be given out at the end of the course. Prosp Qualification

You will need a device with internet access, this could be a PC, Mac, Laptop, smart/iPhone, tablet/iPad. You may wish to download the Zoom app prior to starting the course. You will be given access to our Moodle platform where you can access the courses resources such as handouts, images, recordings of the interactive videos etc. A printer, pen and notepad would also be useful. We will send you joining instructions after you enrol. You will also need the following art materials: A spiral bound sketchbook / scrapbook approximately A4 or 30cm x 30cm (12” X 12”) or similar. The book needs to have thick white pages in order to take paint and collage. You should find these easily in your local craft hobby store. You will also need acrylic paints, watercolour paints, white craft glue, felt pens/ sharpies, coloured pencils and a black fine liner. Scrap wrapping paper, tissue paper, leaflets, magazines, old envelopes will be useful for collage. Also, any stencils, stamps, inks and other crafting materials would be useful but not essential.
